Paving Season Kick Off

Published by Karen on April 3rd, 2013

While the 2013 paving season is well-underway at our Los Angeles and Atlanta branch offices and other areas across the country, our Chicago-based teams and crews are gearing up for a busy season!  This means that our mechanics and crews are hard at work performing thorough checks of all trucks, trailers, and tankers to ensure our customers continue to receive the highest level of service possible.  Check out some recent photos of our team working hard!

Team Players

Published by Candace on March 13th, 2013

The Chicago Blackhawks became the dominant story in sports in the first three months of the NHL season as they rolled through 24 games without suffering a regulation defeat.

Chicago’s play was shocking, considering that Joel Quenneville’s team had been beaten in the first round of the playoffs in each of the last two seasons. The Blackhawks looked like a playoff team at the start of the season, but there was no reason to believe they would become record-setters.

Instead of feeling their way along, the Blackhawks began the season with something to prove. They proved it for 24 games before they finally tasted defeat for the first time when they dropped a 6-2 decision at Colorado Mar. 8.

Even though the streak is over, the Blackhawks should be very proud of what they have accomplished as a team.  Especially without a training camp, they came together as a unit and got it done.

We at Rose Paving know what it’s like to work as a team – as a unit – to get the job done.  In business since 1974, we pioneered the national parking lot maintenance model, and continue to provide unparalleled service to our loyal customers across the country.  If you have any pavement maintenance needs, don’t hesitate to contact our team.

Charity & Event Recap 2012

Published by Candace on January 16th, 2013

Supporting charitable programs and reaching out to the surrounding community is of tremendous importance to all of us at Rose Paving. As a result, we contribute to, sponsor, or participate in a wide-range of community endeavors each year. As part of our corporate community relations program, we have not only donated funds, but had an overwhelming number of employees participate in events for 15 different charitable organizations in 2012.  Those charities included:

  • Ronald McDonald House, which creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children.
  • The Cancer Support Center, which provides free of charge resources that help people improve their quality of life during the cancer experience.
  • Toys For Tots, organized by the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve, collects new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distributes those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
  • One Warm Coat, which collects coats to give to those in need, free of charge, in a variety of communities.
  • Maria Matters Breast Cancer Charity, which provides support and care packages to cancer patients.
  • Dr. Alan Leff Asthmatic Foundation/U of C Hospital: The Airway Biology Research Group raises funds to put towards studying various therapies and treatments for asthma.
  • Brookfield Zoo’s Community Tree Trim (Chicago Zoological Society): an event that brings the community together to decorate the zoo for the holiday season.
  • World Food Programme, which is the world’s largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide, and is funded entirely by voluntary donations.
  • St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, whose unique mission is to find cures for children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases through research and treatment.  And no family ever pays St. Jude for anything.

Rose Paving Recipient of Corporate Citizenship Award

Published by Candace on December 19th, 2012

The Builders Association instituted a Corporate Citizenship Award in 2008 with the purpose of recognizing a member company for its philanthropic contributions. Nominations for this award are accepted year-round, and the award is conferred during the Builders Association’s Annual Meeting.

The award recognizes a member company for its philanthropic contributions and strong commitment to public service, and celebrates the recipient’s dedication to giving back to the communities they build.  This year, two companies were given this honor, and Rose Paving is humbled and proud to be one of them.

Delivering on our Promises

Published by Jessica on December 12th, 2012

Delivering on our promisesWhy do you buy goods or services from one company over another?  Of course, we know there are many answers to that question.  That is why, at Rose Paving, we try to make the decision process as easy as possible by upholding the promises we make. In other words, we don’t claim anything we cannot deliver.  Here are just a few of the commitments we’ve kept since our founding in 1974.

1. Doing it right the first time. This may seem like a cliché; but, at Rose Paving, we take these words very serious. You can count on us to do the right repair at the right time. Our approach and our solutions always focus on what you need and what best fits your business model.

2. Nationwide capabilities. We can handle any parking lot maintenance concern anywhere in the country. Our teams truly excel at multi-site, multi-regional jobs that require sophisticated project management expertise.

3. 24-7 communication. Whether it involves reviewing project scope, scheduling work, updating progress, answering questions, or providing general assistance, we are in touch consistently and always available.

4. Thorough follow up. The job is not complete until we verify your satisfaction in accordance with our 20-point Quality Assurance & Safety Program. Our goal is to build long-term client relationships that continue to grow with each project.

5. Continuing education. We are committed to fostering a collaborative learning environment for both clients and our employees. Clients can take advantage of this through our “Lunch and Learn” seminars, visiting with us at industry events, or during our Facilities Maintenance Conference. Employees stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies by attending classes at our very own Pavement University.

We hope these promises match your expectations of a paving company with whom you’d partner. And, if they do, look no further…contact Rose Paving today!
