Cancer Support Center Walk of Hope: Recap

Published by Candace on October 12th, 2011

The Rose Paving Family once again participated in this year’s “Walk of Hope” organized by the Jennifer S. Fallick Cancer Support Center.  The event took place this past Sunday, October 9 at Marie Irwin Park in Homewood, Illinois.  The “Walk of Hope” is a community event that brings together family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers who walk to raise money and awareness for FREE support programs for individuals and families affected by cancer in the Chicago Southland area.

Rose Paving is grateful for the opportunity to again sponsor the 13th Annual “Walk of Hope”in downtown Homewood.  Several of our employees and their families also participated in the community walk to show their support for the JSF Cancer Center and its cause.

Sunday’s event featured a 1, 3, and 5-mile course, as well as a 10-Step Hope Walk.  Games, food and refreshments were also provided after walkers concluded.  Numbers are still being crunched by the Center, but hopefully they are on track to exceed last year’s total of over $100,000 raised!
