Rose Paving is a Three-Time Winner among the 2012 Best Places to Work in Illinois!

Published by Candace on April 4th, 2012

Rose Paving Co., a leader in national parking lot management, has been selected for the third time as one of the Best Places to Work in Illinois.  This workplace analysis and competition began in 2006 and is promoted by The Daily Herald Business Ledger in partnership with the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago (HRMAC), the Illinois State Chamber of Commerce, and the Workforce Boards of Metropolitan Chicago, and is managed by Best Companies Group.

“We are thrilled and honored to be recognized for the third time in four years as one of the best places to work in Illinois. At Rose Paving, we truly believe our employees are the most passionate, dedicated, and loyal workforce.  Our daily business mission is “recognizing opportunities – surpassing expectations.” Not only is this award a testament to that pursuit, but it will also help us attract additional top-notch professionals and deliver the best service to our clients,” stated Ed Campbell, president.

Rose Paving’s placement was based on its ranking against the scores of Illinois companies’ responses to a survey of employers and employees covering workplace policies, practices, demographics, employee engagement, and satisfaction.  Areas examined include work-life balance, pay, benefits, training and advancement opportunities, perks, workplace culture, and community involvement. Thirty-one winners were selected from the small/medium-sized company category (15-249 U.S. employees) and nineteen winners were selected from the large-sized category (250+ U.S. employees).

The 50 winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony the evening of Thursday, May 17, 2012, at the Hyatt Lisle, 1400 Corporetum Drive, Lisle, IL.  Final rankings will be announced at the event.  A special publication profiling each company will be published June 25, 2012, by The Daily Herald Business Ledger, the primary source of local business news and information in suburban Chicago.

Alan Rose & Dr. Alan Leff

The Airway Biology Research Group is the federally funded center for structured multidisciplinary collaboration of MD, and PhD investigators who are appointed in the Departments of Medicine and Pediatrics, and whose central interest is in the cellular pathophysiology of asthma and the maturational development of airway cells and tissues.  Every cent the group raises and receives is put towards studying various therapies and treatments for asthma.

“Reaching out to the surrounding community is of tremendous importance to all of us at Rose Paving.  This donation is of particular significance to me because I have suffered with asthma, and the funds will help the University of Chicago aid their patients with more research and resources,” said Alan Rose, CEO.  “Furthermore, I hope this contribution will raise awareness for asthma while also encouraging other charitable outreach programs to donate to their local medical organizations.”

In addition to this effort, Rose Paving’s community relations program contributes to or sponsors a wide-range of community endeavors throughout the year.  Read more about the program at www.rosepaving.com/community-outreach.

Rose Paving Co. Completes 970,463 sf of Parking Lot Improvements for 7-Eleven® Stores

Published by Karen on September 28th, 2011

Bridgeview, IL (September 2011) – Rose Paving Company has completed 970,463 square feet of parking lot enhancements at 7-Eleven® locations in the northeastern United States.  The project spanned the course of five weeks.  Work ranged from 2-inch mill and overlay to full parking lot reconstruction at more than 75 7-Eleven stores in Maryland, New Jersey and Virginia – all while stores remained open.

“Our national purchasing power was instrumental in making this overhaul a success,” said David Rivers, Rose Paving director of national operations.  “7-Eleven saw the value in completing paving improvements to multiple properties at once, rather than as individual projects occurring separately over time, which helped to save money on materials and resources.”

Rose Paving was contracted by Powerhouse Retail Services, which managed renovations for the world’s largest convenience retailer.  Remodels for the more than 1,000 7-Eleven stores on the East Coast included, in some cases, upgrades to both building interiors and exteriors.  Rose Paving performed all parking lot repairs in two phases to keep stores fully operating while the work was done.  Parking lot sizes varied from 5,000 to 25,000 square feet.
