Tying the Knot

Published by Karen on February 17th, 2010

chapelIt’s that time of year and love is in the air at Rose Paving!  We aren’t talking about heart-shaped boxes of chocolates, teddy bears, or conversation hearts, but rather the joy of an upcoming wedding.  In three short days, one of our fellow marketers will walk down the aisle to exchange wedding vows with her soon-to-be husband, Eric.

In the age of meticulous wedding planners such as Franck in “Father of the Bride,” obscene wedding antics portrayed in films like “Wedding Crashers,” and websites such as “the knot” which handle every possible wedding planner’s need, it’s easy to be swept up in the frenzy and forget the true meaning of a wedding.

As we pause to wish Candace and her fiancée all the best, what advice would you give to them on their special day?  If you are already married, perhaps there is something you wish someone would have told you.  Maybe your words of wisdom are similar to what Maria told her daughter in the film “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” “The man is the head, but the woman is the neck.  And she can turn the head any way she wants.”  Please leave a comment with your own words of wisdom, whether sentimental or humorous, for a happy and prosperous marriage.

Congratulations on your special day, Candace!  Remember to enjoy every minute of it!
