Retail Success Story

Published by Karen on March 27th, 2013

Our award-winning services will protect your pavement and provide peace of mind.  We have proven experience in the retail industry and an unmatched passion for our work.  Check out another recent success story below:

“With such an expansive portfolio of stores,
understanding my inventory and scheduling
 cost-effective repairs is difficult.”

Who said it?

Manager of Building Services for a multi-billion-dollar national retailer.

What prompted it?

The retailer’s operations team had to find ways to maximize pavement maintenance costs while still providing safe and attractive parking lots.

What is the problem:

Without firsthand knowledge of each site, budget dollars can be misappropriated or even unused.  This may result in improper repairs or lack of maintenance.

The solution:

Rose Paving’s scoping team evaluated all 259 sites in question and determined that, if scheduled immediately, crack sealing and lot marking would be the most cost-effective repairs.  Once approved, multiple teams were mobilized to enable batch repairs.  Grouping repairs saves money on materials and resources.

Repairs for the first batch of 123 stores were completed in just 42 days; repairs for the second batch of 136 stores were completed in 74 days.  The entire project met all budget requirements and exceeded scheduling expectations.

Why?

If cracks are left untreated, in just three to six years, the same areas will cost 30 to 40 times more money in structural repairs.  Lot marking directs people safely around a parking lot and enhances curb appeal.

Restaurant Success Story

Published by Karen on March 6th, 2013

Let us take parking lots off your plate.  We have proven expertise in the restaurant/hospitality industry and an unmatched passion for our work.  Check out our recent success story below:

“When faced with urgent projects, I don’t have
time to chase contractors, review bids, and
track progress to ensure results.”

Who said it?

Senior Facilities Manager for a multi-million-dollar restaurant chain.

What prompted it?

Fifteen corporate-owned restaurants required parking lot and sidewalk maintenance prior to sale to private ownership.  A strict timeframe was imposed in which to inspect and complete work on each site and only areas in absolute need of maintenance were to be repaired.

What is the problem:

Time was in short supply.  Our client needed to streamline decision making, execute repairs quickly, and stay within budget.  However, without knowing the pavement condition of every site, there was no way to prioritize parking lot repairs.

The solution:

Forty-eight hours after the initial conversation, Rose Paving met our client in Michigan to begin two days of thorough site inspections statewide.  By the end of the same week, all evaluations, work scope, site maps, and pricing were complete and approved by the client well ahead of deadline.

Why?

Partnering with one contractor that has resources ready to inspect and repair multiple sites saves time in qualifying bids and it reduces the cost-per-site since material can be bought in bulk. Plus, using one contractor for an entire portfolio ensures consistent results across all locations.

Let Rose Paving manage the maintenance and repair of your restaurant parking lots.  Speak with one of our parking lot experts at RFMA 2013 (Restaurant Facility Management Association) March 10-12.  Visit us at Booth #1128.

Rose Paving Co. to Raise Funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Published by Alan on February 27th, 2013

Rose Paving Company is set to support the efforts of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® through a multi-event fundraising campaign in 2013. Rose Paving will host a fundraising activity at industry trade shows and events across the country, giving registered attendees the opportunity to help support St. Jude’s mission to find cures for children with cancer and other deadly diseases through research and treatment.

Fundraising will kick off this month at the BOMA/Suburban Chicago (Building Owners and Managers Association) Expo on Thursday, February 28, in Oak Brook, Illinois, followed by fundraising in California, Florida, Georgia, and Texas. Conference attendees for the various trade shows are encouraged to visit Rose Paving’s booth during exhibit hours and autograph a banner in support of St. Jude.  For each signature received, Rose Paving will donate $5 to St. Jude.

“We are excited to help raise awareness and funds to support the mission of St. Jude, which is to find cures and save children,” said Ed Campbell, Rose Paving president. “After a very successful fundraising campaign in 2012, we are grateful for the opportunity to continue our efforts throughout 2013.”

Since opening more than 50 years ago, St. Jude has changed the way the world treats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.  St. Jude freely shares its research discoveries with medical communities everywhere, so one child saved at St. Jude means thousands more saved worldwide. And no family ever pays St. Jude for anything. With a daily operating cost of $1.8 million, St. Jude depends mostly on public contributions, like Rose Paving’s fundraising event.
